Just lost my contact for spraying my partcasters>neck & body. He lost his buisness so he moved out of state. So now im left with an unfinshed body. I figured id give it a shot. Im going nitro, paint to wood no filler. Can anyone help me out on getting started? Equipment, the do & donts, etc. Thanks for your time and advice!

Do a search on TDPRI and you will be flooded with results. Your best forum for this is the "Finely Finished" under The DIY Channel.
I just got this video in the e-mail today - it might help too. But just for application - there's a lot more to getting the finish just right on a guitar.

Nitro is nasty stuff for your lungs, your environment and can be explosive if not handled right. There's no reason to continue using the stuff in this day and age.
I've switched to water based laquers and will never go back.

I've learned a lot from the StewMac book, 'Guitar Finishing Step-By-Step'. And I've also learned heaps by making plenty of mistakes. But the book costs less!

Here is a thread I did last summer that goes over the basics, and few common problems folks run into. (http://www.tdpri.com/forum/finely-finished/279878-how-i-approach-nitrocellulose-lacquer-finish.html)
In my opinion, this is the easiest method to finish a neck. (http://www.tdpri.com/forum/finely-finished/324033-how-i-apply-lacquer-finish-aftermarket-neck.html)

Buy some re-ranch spray cans and go for it. It's nitro and you can sand it in no time if you need to.

In addition to the good tips above, LMI videos website has a couple of good finishing videos including electric guitar finishing, sunburst finishing, and a good beginner's primer on spray guns. They're short, informative, and have excellent information.
Check them out here:
