Mating body with neck question

I am thinking of getting a Tele body, either loaded or not, and mating it to a Fender Tele neck I have. The neck is an American Standard 9.5 radius maple.
What do I need to know about neck pockets on Tele bodies to make sure I get a body that will make for a good fit? Do I need to make sure I get an American Standard body or will any Tele body, or American body work for me?
And should I measure the neck heel to make sure I get a body with a pocket measurement that corresponds? Or am I over thinking it?

Any Fender body should work. Likewise with the major aftermarket vendors like USACG, Warmoth, Allparts, ... too many to list. The neck heel and pocket are standard dimensions. GFS...be very careful.

Just wax and screw, as the bishop said to the actress.

Fender necks are typically 2 and 3/16 wide and are supposed to fit into a cavity 2 7/32" wide. Import bodies vary and one of most common complain is that they don't fit properly. You should source your neck and body from the same place to help ensure they fit.
