NGD Gretsch 5120

Finally arrived last week. Yeah, they all look the same. Still, I wanted to post a pic of her.

Very nice! I have a 5125 (very similar, but w/DeArmond pickups) and love it. I also have a 6118, and the 5125 holds its own.

I really love Gretsch orange. Such a classy look. Enjoy!

Love the orange pick you use. I use orange ones, too, with my orange 5120.
I also got me a natural leather Gretsch strap and dyed it orange.

Nice. Did yours come with the hard shell case? Mine didn't. Sure would like to have one.

Call Joel at Shanghai Music for cases and such. He'll meet or beat any price. And no, it's not in Shanghai. I have no idea why it's called that. i got a nice Gretsch case for my Pro Jet from there.

Also, know what most standard dreadnaught cases will fit the 5120 perfectly. I have a Road Runner/SKB case that I got from MF or GC or somewhere that fits great.

No. 5120s do not come with cases. Have to buy one on your own.
I bought mine at Blackrider Guitars. Perfect fit, affordable, has GRETSCH logo on case.

Congrats on your new guitar! Just got one myself this week. Fellow I bought it from already upgraded with Filtertrons & treble bleed cap on the master volume.

Just a heads up, the new 5420s (which replace the 5120s) just went up on Gretsch's site. Better pickups, nicer look, newer color...and they even make a 12 string model!
