Is it common for one channel to crosstalk in to the other channel?
Obviously, I'm a novice to this style of amp.

5e3 crosstalkfilmix2 July 17th, 2012, 08:17 PM Is it common for one channel to crosstalk in to the other channel? Obviously, I'm a novice to this style of amp. keithb7 July 17th, 2012, 08:23 PM Please explain what you mean? If you mean is it normal for both volume knobs in interact and affect both channels on your 5E3, then yes this is totally knormal. The tone knob is also shared between both channels. This is the design of the 5E3 circuit. filmix2 July 17th, 2012, 08:33 PM Yes keith. If plugged in to bright channel with volume down, for example, the normal channel volume will bleed in the low end of the guitar signal. It sounds like jumping the channel through a low pass filter. Sounds familiar? Is this "knormal"? TNO July 17th, 2012, 08:36 PM It's normal. keithb7 July 17th, 2012, 09:04 PM It's the beauty of beast. It's a pretty knarly, knob, knormality. Kneat eh? filmix2 July 17th, 2012, 09:42 PM Yeah.. I do like it as a feature.. No jumper cable necessary... Thanks all. |
