Help figuring out a tuning (Springsteen)

Trying to figure out what tuning or voicings he is using this tour for Wrecking Ball and Recently Take'em as they come played in London.

If the song is written in D, but when played live it is played with a capo on the 3 fret. Is there an alternate tuning being used or is it just different chord voicings? I thought maybe it is Drop D with a capo on the 3rd, but I tried it out and it doesn't sound right.

"Wrecking Ball" is in F. Capo 3, open D positions.

Can't find a link to a recent version of "Take 'em As They Come." You post one and I'll tell you what I think is going on.

"Wrecking Ball" is in F. Capo 3, open D positions.

So for this I would have to look up F chord shapes in Open D tuning or is it simply just using the regular D chord shapes along with I believe Bm, G, and A

No, it's not open tuning. It's either standard or drop D. I didn't listen to hear if the high E is dropped as well. Could be double drop D. Use the shapes for the key of D as if it were open, but play it with a capo on the third fret.

In a rush at the moment so can't double check but I am pretty sure he does some songs on the current tour in dropped D. In Vienna he went into Johnny 99 and he had to stop as he had the wrong guitar - I think that was due to the guitar he was using being dropped D and he forgot until he changed chord for the first time.

This is a version of When I Leave Berlin they did this tour, its acoustic and a 12 string but I think the tuning used on Wrecking Ball and Maybe Take'em is the same here.

The Berlin song looks and sounds like standard with the high E dropped to D, capoed 3. If the low E is dropped, I can't hear it in the mix, but the chord shapes he's playing don't look like it. I'd say try the songs in Drop D, Double Drop D and standard to see how they sound to you. In any case the A, D, G, and B strings are at standard pitch with a capo on 3.
