Rutters info (shipping time and habits, custom plating?)

Hey guys,
Anyone order from Marc recently mind sharing what the shipping schedule was like? also did you get an e-mail confirmation when your item shipped?

I ordered the angled control plate last week and i'm wondering when it might get here. Since he runs his own store and it's not a major operation i'm not expecting a 3 day turnaround like from Amazon or Musician's Friend or anything. Does it slow down your order fulfillment if you just ask for nickel plating instead of chrome? From my understanding, chrome items are usually nickel plated underneath so if he didn't already have the parts plated and i'm not mistaken, it should be even faster to get a nickel plate than a chrome one.

This is the verrry last part I'm waiting for on my partscaster, pretty excited.

Surely the vendor can answer these questions. (I'm assuming)

Eh, don't want to seem like i'm nagging him about my order if I can help it. I've already wasted his time asking him about getting an ashtray style bridge made for the American tele rout (he said he was too busy).

Marc is a really cool guy , he won't mind a question or two , his turn around time has always been reasonable as far as my orders go .

Custom work takes time....especially like you said...compared to a warehouse shipping place. Some patience is in order I think.

Hey Nareg,

As Herb said, custom work takes time and Marc's work is some of the best. The wait is well worth it.

Did Herb say that? :-) Sorry it is about 100 degrees in here and I'm a little off....

With a small shop like Marc's turnaround time can vary. I've always been surprised how quickly I received my orders.

I've had a couple orders and it's worked out fine for me. I love his steel saddles. I would like to try his bridges out as soon as I get the scratch.

Sorry Guys,

My quotational accuracy is a bit off these days but the essential statement is correct. ;-)

Marc turned my order around quickly. Small customization, too. His work is beautiful.

His compensated saddles are really cool -- sort of hidden compensation. Fool your friends...

Hey guys, I used to pack up stuff once a week to ship but now do it at least twice a week. As for the custom hardware I'm cutting back on the time consuming stuff like redesigning bridges and the like, too much of a PIA from all ends ;-) If you want modifications of my existing stuff this is usually no problem but it may take some time, Bigsby, toploader type stuff, email me the question and we'll go from there. Any of my hardware is available in nickel plate upon request but may take a few extra days. As for the order conformation this is supposed to be automatic from Paypal and was set up that way but has not been working....something to fix what fun. If you have any doubt or questions about an order just email me and we'll get it straight. Again if you are not sure about a whatever just email me.

Thanks for all the kind comments mucho appreciated!

Marc
