This is my first tele build and I thought I'd stick some pics up to get some of your opinions on it.

This should of all been in the first part.
It's made from 6 pieces of wood, 3 maple & 3 walnut. The neck and fretboard are maple.
It's nearly finished now just waiting on a roller nut and a pickup ring.
I got the pickups from 'at the creamery' pickups in Manchester UK their handmade and sound awesome in a standard us tele. Here are a few more pics.
Thanks

I like Maple/Walnut as an ice-cream flavor, it should make a tasty Tele also!!

Yeah I like the contrast between the woods, but it's bloody heavy even though I hollowed out some of it to reduce the overall weight

Yeah I like the look of the bigsby too and I picked it up unused secondhand for €80/$100 still in original packaging. The neck was made on a friends cnc router and I should of saved some time by using it to do the body too, hindsight is a great and useless tool.

I'll post more pics when it's finished.

How come I never run across deals like that? Or have friends with CNC routers (and the ability to program a neck?) Ignore my musings, just the whining of an envious fellow-builder. Have not heard of "At the Creamery" pickups, but if they're made in Manchester (by soccer hoodulums ?) , no doubt they'll rock!

Believe me I don't know how to do cad drawings and get them to the router but my friend is a cabinetmaker and uses it for a living, and it was tested out on some pine pieces of wood first.

As for the creamery pups you can see some of his stuff on YouTube, just look up at the creamery and a few videos come up

I've heard some really good things about the creamery pickups. I'll have to check out the youtube clips later on. Nice build by the way.

R.Stratenstein? I only live about 15 miles from Manchester, and yes all the footy fans are hooligans. :wink:They should go and watch a rugby league match where all the hooligans are playing on the pitch.:lol:

Greetings from West Limerick, where are you located? There's an Irish guitar-builder's thread on boards.ie, you could drop in there some time too.

Rugby, now there's a game. Kind of like building guitars to me, don't understand all the rules, but it's very enjoyable. Leather balls, indeed!

Mine is solid walnut on the back. I only put the maple strip on the front to cover up a knot hole.
