Can I do 4 way switch mod with a Barden and a PAF?

Got a Barden Strat neck p/u (technically a dbl rail humbucker, but voiced like a single coil) in the neck and a Gibson 490r in the bridge (yes, I know that the 490r was designed as a neck p/u but it sounds great in the bridge of this tele, no drop outs to due pole spacing).

Can I do a 4 way switch mod with this set up or do a really need 2 true single coils?

Thanks!

The 4 way mod is just putting the pickups in series, which you can do with any pickup. If it has a grounded chassis or cover you'll need a separate ground wire, which both the 490r and Barden have.

wasn't jimmy's lp wired to have series wiring or were his push pulls for the wiring of the pickups alone?

Pagey's wiring (at least all the versions I've seen of it) were so that he could have basically any combination. Each of the pickups were splitable with a push/pull, another put the pickups out of phase with each other, and another put them in series.
