Polishing your pedals

Call me what you will, but I like to look after my stuff.
I once bought an old CS2 that smelt like expensive aftershave. Nice touch, really.

I use this occasionally to keep all the crap off them.

Who else cleans up their pedals from time to time?

Spit and an old sock

Sanitizing wipes mostly. Especially after gigs. Bars, bathrooms, then you stomp on pedals...need I saw more? Yuck.

I like my guitars like that too.

Windex, paper towels, Q Tips. I'll clean a used pedal if it's dirty when I buy it (I've bought a few pedals in garage sales that were pretty grungy).

I vacuum my pedalboard...

I have the Butler starch and press mine, then sprinkle lightly with lavender water.
One simply cannot contemplate bringing the jolly old rawk upon anything less than an immaculate, and fragrant foot operated aural enhancement machination.

I repaint my pedals daily! - new knobs too!

Slob here. I might scrape some mud off of them after an outdoor gig and shake any dried grass off the board but that's about it. :)

I polish my shoes, and stomp on my pedals.

Take a crusty old ashtray, tip it out and in it marinate a pair of warm sweaty socks in some beer dregs for a couple of days. Use that to wipe down your pedals for an authentic and genuine smell.

:wink:I never polish my pedals, but have been know to polish my knob on occasion
