Printable Tele Template for Bridge Placement

I have an unfinished GFS mahogany body that I want to mount humbuckers in. Problem is, it is routed for standard tele singles and the string through holes are not drilled. I am assuming I can use a template to mark for the humbuckers, but can I used a printable template to mark for the bridge accurately enough to not have intonation issues. I would like it to be a string through as well.

There's no way to get it perfect. So you're going to have to mess with intonation a little no matter how you do it. Place the saddles around half or 3/4 of the way forward (towards the neck) and measure 25.5 in. from the body side of the nut. I think? I used the template from Terry Downs when building my telecaster, so I had no need to measure for the bridge placement.

I might be wrong about some stuff, but hopefully this helped a little.

So if the Terry Downs template measures up with my body by some chance, all I have to do is use the measurements on the template, correct? And yes you helped quite a bit. I just want to get the pickups and bridge lined up correctly and pickup areas routed correctly. I am not happy with almost. Also bought a pickup template from StewMac for the humbuckers. Maybe the next one I will try from scratch.

Use the distance on the T Downs drawing from the back of the neck pocket to the string holes. The bridge holes should line up also if you're using the right bridge. This assumes you are using a standard Tele neck.
