Wiggins... er Sky looks unbeatable

For a number of years I've heard that it's Bradley Wiggins year to win the TDF and every year he never comes close. But this year, WOW. He seems unstoppable -- and his Team seem to be more like Supermen than teammates.

I keep hoping for some major mistake (I want Cadel to repeat) but I don't see it coming at this point.

Lookin' like a pretty tall order for Evans this year. Did you happen to catch how hard a time Tejay had keeping his jets cool enough to pace Cadel yesterday?

I can't help wishing Wiggins and Froome were on different teams, just to make the race more interesting.

The Sky team seems a bit too strong, I wish it will not ending with a new dope affair in a couple of years.

If they are doping... the whole team is doing it. Some individuals show better one day or the next but this team is flat out dominating. I'd like to see a concerted effort to break them attempted. And, soon.

Froome will be the GC leader on someone elses team next year no doubt.

Sky has put together a fantastic team and Wiggins is incredibly strong. The problem with this is for me it's made the GC race boring. I'm hoping this will change in the Pyrenees with more attacking from Nibali and Evans.

I believe they need to attack repeatedly, one after the other until Wiggins cracks. Nibali seems up to the task but Evans as usual lacks confidence. Evans jumps on the decent and in the final kilometers are useless. He needs to go early, get caught, then go again, until Wiggins slumps, then you can get minutes. As long a Wiggins is calm and riding good tempo he will not crack. Miguel Indurain won five years in a row in the same fashion as Wiggins, grind on the climbs and win the time trials.

The situation with Froome reminded me of Lemond and Hinault when the team made Lemond wait for Hinault. Lemond could have won that year. It would be great to see Froome and Tejay on good teams next year free to go for the GC.

I agree that the GC race is a bit dull for the moment, & the green jersey looks all but over as well now.

I feel a bit sorry for Cavandish. Love him or hate him, he's one of the most exciting guys to watch in a sprint & with a team so concentrated around Wiggins, he's not getting many chances at the end of a stage.

I also agree Tejay & Froome along with Sagan have been the real stars so far. Good to see young guys coming through.

The thing that gets me is how the commentators are saying that BMC has put together a better team for on the flat stages, uhm...since when is that a good strategy?

Looks to me like sky has it sewn up, but theres alot of racing to go still.....

This. I don't know if its the advent of race radio, but damnit I want to see some attacks in the mountains! - this tempo riding, and then basing the wins all on the Time Trial stages is annoying. Where's the heart? thats why I watch the tour! So far the best stage was When Voeckler won, truly showed the heart of a Lion.

I agree completely, Voeckler & Jens Voight killing themselves in the last 500m or so to get to the line first was epic!

Your Indurain comparison is spot-on...........

Nibali and Evans don't seem to be three minutes better than Wiggins- however perfect their tactics.

Froome- and Lemond- (and Van Garderen) have been paid to do a job. Talk about the relative strength of team-mates is cheap; Lemond has been peddling this story for 27 years..... Froome has been interviewed in L'Equipe and lacks the maturity to lead, if his replies are to be taken at face value. If he was smart, he'd shut up and inherit this strong team, in 2013 or 14.
