changing tele bodies

currently have a MIM tele. Was planning on selling it, but I may turn it into a long project and end up with exactly what i want. I was considering refinishing the body, or just selling for another one. Was mainly lookin @ mighty mite (price reasons). How do these compare to MIM bodies? Would I be better off stripping and doin a refin on this body?

well what dont you like about the guitar? some things might make it easier to refinish and modify while some might make it easier to just sell and buy a new one.

main dislike is the neck, which is an easy fix, other than the cash involved. The refin idea was just a wild hair. Most likely, after alot of research, I'll probably just pick up a "web special" body from usacg or something if I decide on doin a new body though.

Sounds like you need to sell that particular guitar and use the money to make a "partscaster" that is your ideal.

kinda the direction I'm headed in. While I was browsing usacg, started checkin out those telemaster bodies.... Oh the ideas... I wonder if you could use a JM trem with a tele bridge...
