I never heard of this guy before his new album which I saw and heard cuts from when I randomly stopped at KEXP's Youtube channel. Yesterday I found by accident he is playing in Cambridge and thought wth let's drop in and sing along to the few tunes I know from Temple Beautiful.

Oh man. I did not expect what I saw. First off, this guy should be playing to much larger crowds, but the fact that he was playing a basement to a 100 people or so did not bother him one bit -- he was on freaking fire, and so was his excellent band. I liked every single thing they played to the very last bit. It was one of the best shows I have seen recently. The tones were incredible, the playing was superb. The guy was funny and engaging and the songs were so good. I had to buy a tshirt so that when people ask me what I am wearing I get a chance to spread the word.

I googled the forum and saw many threads about him. This is one case where one more thread is certainly deserved. PSA: If this guy goes anywhere near you, go see him play. I can guarantee you will have a blast because his attitude is just contagious.

I have never been dissapointed with Chuck. He only gets better. The guy is a natural, a freaking force. The guy is not willing to play the game to their rules, so he does it his way and smiles lots more than others trying to find the secret of success. The man can't be anything but himself, and he doesn't take that for granted.
