Hello all,
Hopefully this post is appropriate, (and in the right forum).
I have a friend who recently moved to Tennessee, and she's discovered that her 12-string Tak has developed a crack in the top. Some finish cracks as well, but the wood crack is what she's concerned with.
Do any of you know of a good, reasonably priced luthier/repair person in or around Johnson City?
She just moved there and doesn't really know anybody yet.
Thanks in advance.

Just a suggestion - call any guitar store in the area and ask for a recommendation.

A referral here would be nice but if it doesn't happen, that may be a good option.

Jim Grainger is in Sparta and does excellent work.

Jim Grainger - Custom Fretted Instruments (http://www.customfret.com/)

He did some work on a mandolin for me. Excellent work and quick turnaround.
