Hi
I have a problem removing my jack due to the nut being completely stuck. I have tried holding it from inside the body cavity with needle nose pliers and still no good. Any suggestions welcomed
Thanks in advance

WD40 you can try first. Can you take the jack cup out? I like the electro-socket jack cups, as they are easier to remove the entire output jack assembly.

welp. if brute force ain't gonna budge that sucker, it'll prolly need to get cut.
however, is this a tele with "vintage" jack cup? if so, ya might be able to bang it out - those cups are held in with a metal "clip" that usually can be banged out from the inside of the control cavity. unsolder the output wires and remove the entire wired control plate to get it outta the way, then slip in a screw driver or metal rod and attempt to bang out the jack and cup. not easy. when yer done, replace that stupid cup with an electrosocket and a nice new switchcraft jack.

If you've got a small, sharp pair of diagonal cutters, you can cut the nut that way. Open them, and slip the lower jaw into the jack hole, hook the upper jaw over the nut and squeeze hard. You'll almost certainly have to replace the jack afterward.
You could also drill the jack out, just chuck up a 3/8" drill bit, center it in the jack hole, and go to town. If you use this approach, clip the output wires close to where they attach to the volume pot. If the drill catches and spins the jack you could twist up the wires and yank something important.

Even though your mission is accomplished, here is a trick I learned: Take a drumstick and pound it into the jack hole until is sticks tight. This is easier than using needle nose, of trying to steady the jack from the outside. The drumstick will probably have a ring at the farthest point it went in, but my son never noticed them.
