So I've got a real old cheapo Cort guitar (black gloss), with a bunch of scratches that I am trying to remove. Some are bigger than others, but there are a BUNCH of little ones.
I'm just trying to get a basic idea of what tools I need to remove scratches and generally how to remove them technique wise. I've made one guitar before, but the finish is a pretty rough satin on it so I'm a little in the dark here.
I have a bunch of fine grit wet-dry sand paper (600-2000), a sanding block, some scratch x 2.0 and some terry cotton cloths. I've been thinking about getting some microfiber cloths and Mirror Glaze 7 to do the final polish. Anything else I need to get before I start?
Not looking for it to be "perfect", just more of a learning process for the future.
