Hi there,
I've read this forum a lot but this is my first! I have a set of Lollar Vintage T pickups in my current tele and I can quite honestly say that the neck pickup blows me away every time I play the guitar. But I'm a massive fan of a really twangy bridge pickup and the vintage T just isn't capable of giving what I need.
I already know I really like the OV bridge pickup for it's girth and balls but the tone isn't quite as complex as I'd like. I've never tried the nocaster bridge but I understand that packs a similar punch to the OV bridge.
Has anyone tried a Vintage T neck and OV or Nocaster bridge combo? If not I'll definitely be giving it a go in the not too distant future so will post up my results. My only concern is that the OV set seems to be a perfect match for each other as they are 2 similar sounding pickups. The same applies with the Lollar set. But this combo is almost like 2 completely different animals.
