Just saw this on the Sam Ash website....coming soon for $799.99.

I have a Ric so I won't be getting one, but it looks cool...pups are "new Black Top Filtertrons", whatever they are!

They are Filter'Trons loosely based on the Baldwin era pickups you'll find on Gretsch product from the 1970's and early 80s. People on the Gretsch Pages forum who have tried them think they sound good, but they're not traditional Filter'Trons. It's a nice option to the far more expensive 12 string Country Gentleman. For those who don't care for the tone, I'm sure TV Jones will have a documented replacement option by summer's end.
