Different Fulltone Soulbender models

I've been looking for a new Fuzz Pedal and decided between the Earthquaker Devices Hoof fuzz, or a Fulltone Soulbender.

I know the Soulbenders were discontinued and then remade with the smaller boxes, but how many different models were there before that? Maybe I just didn't google it enough.

Reason I'm asking is because this Soulbender here;

Is going significantly cheaper than the other big box versions. Any reason why?

I noticed there was a black knob model and cream knob model, at least I gathered as much from ebay.

All apologies if I didn't google the answer enough.

As far as I know they are the same. The big box ones just sell for more because they are "original big box models" and people are silly enough to pay extra for that "mojo".

Even if Fuller says the different models of his pedals are made with the same parts, it doesn't stop people from claiming that one sounds better that another.

Everybody raves about the Hoof, but I'd much rather get the Soulbender. Such a cool pedal.

And yeah, like GP said, I think the only difference is size

This video here kinda speaks a bit otherwise.

Was there any difference between the big box versions or was there only one big box verion?

You should definitely look into the Retroman Tonezilla before you commit to the Soulbender. It's more of a MKIII (which is pretty similar to a Muff like the Hoof), but it sounds massive and it has some cool tone-shaping features- plus, as I understand it, you can use a regular power supply for it.
