This guitar sounded very good before, but I didn't care for look of the zebra pickups. So, as most of you know I can't leave anything alone, I installed a set of Dimarzio 36th anniversary paf's!

Now WOW!!! Antiquities have been my favorite hum buckers, but these have just replaced them! They sound incredible! I think my Goldtop may be my best sounding humbucker guitar!!

That's crazy, man! How many guitars do you have?

And +1 on the 36th pups, they do sound good. Nice gold-top.

Wow!
Now dont be shy!
Come on, show us your Amps.
By the way, is that a Jorgensen top row left, 6th from center?
Great! Compared to you my GAS is a controlled one.

You've got over 50 guitars there, man! I hope you never question your partner if she walks in with a new pair of shoes!!!!!

OK lets see the amps now...............

BTW the goldtop looks so much better with the covered pups.

The green one is a Warmoth. Its a mahogany back, quilted maple top. Mahogony neck. Dimarzio area t pickups. It sounds Godly!

The black one is an American Standard that I routed for a p90. Its got a Warmoth pickguard on it.

Looks like my local GC, only better inventory.:lol::lol:
It's nice hear a good review for a company like Dimarzio. The big guys seem to be overlooked by the boutique builders.

Ok the important stuff first. How would you compare the 36th PAFs to #1 & #2 Burstbuckers? Too close to call or no comparison?

No comparison in looks, the chrome blows the zebras away.

I'd have to drive fifty miles to find a shop with that kind of inventory. I salute you sir

I'll show these pics to my wife next time she gives my gang the look

I'll definitely have to check those pickups out. I always preferred goldtops with soapbar p90s especially antiquity p90s but I definitely agree the covered looks better then zebra. All cream uncovered would look good too IMO

I have nothing against the look of zebra HBs, but on that GT the chrome covers are perfect. Glad they sound good too!

Love the green one on the lower right, looks like a Thinline maybe.

Nice collection of guitars! But I despise the highend treble sound of humbuckers. I wonder if it's the cancellation of 120 hum, then 240, then 360, and so forth. They just don't sound sweet up there.
