Hi guys,

just watched this clip of Kid Ramos on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xM37SP0sL78

Anyone know what the pedal is on top of his AC30 ? I didnt know Kid played through any pedals or effects apart from his reverb tank.

Thanks,

Dave

I can't see it, but I'll have what he's having! He's an all around fantastic player. I don't hear much effect when he plays. Maybe a touch of delay?

could be a boss tuner pedal ...

I remember seeing Kid Ramos playing with the Tbirds in a little blues club in Long Beach, where I stood about 10 feet from him. If I remember correctly, the only effect I saw was a Fender tweed reverb tank into a couple of Voxes. His tone was freakin' off the charts.

Definitely Boss, bet it's a tuner. Unlikely that it's anything else because it's not even in stepping-on territory. And the guy wears glasses so he probably wants it up elevated a bit maybe?

My bad on the glasses thing, saw him wearing them in a different video but not this one

Thanks for the info guys.......makes sense that its a tuner.
I have been a fan of the Kid for years and love his tone. I have always known it to be a Vox and a reverb tank and thats it so was curious about that pedal.
Didnt think he would be using a tubescreamer ;))

Thanks again,
Dave

It could be a reverb pedal--instead of a tank because he's in Europe, easier to travel with a pedal. That could also explain the position on top of the amp rather than at stomping distance.

The band he's playing with is from Brazil, by the way.
