Hey all- First post here after reading thousands. I've dug through this and seen hundreds of schematics but still haven't found what I'm after which I thought would be easy.
I am installing a 4 conductor SD Seth Lover into the neck position of my 2011 Am. Std. Tele and would like to be able to split the HB with a push pull pot. That's it. No phase options or 5 way switches. I would just like it to work exactly like an HS tele but with the option to split the neck pup with a push-pull pot.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this specifically? Also, does anyone have a proven combination of pot values and/or caps that work well for this? The bridge pup is bright as hell thru my set up so I'd rather not go with 500k pots.
Thanks for any help, glad to finally contribute to this awesome site!

Took this from Phostenix's site

And sloppily added the mod you seek.
I'm not sure if this activates the screw or slug coil. If you want the other Coil to be active... the principle is the same.. the difference is that the push/pull switch selects which lead is sent to ground, either the main HB green lead, or the red/white.
The phostenix diagram says these are SD's wiring colors, but I haven't checked.
Since you have single coils and the Seth lover is a vintage wound PAF, I would think 250k + 0.022 mfd cap would work. YMMV
Happy pickup height adjusting!

4way switch is really sweet along with a DPDT on the single coil for phase change for a bunch of cool tones...

Or just wire the 3 way normally and use the switch to send the red/white junction to the V pot hot w the switch up. Then its on for any 3 way position when on. R/W to center, out to V pot. The green - red is the slug coil. Unless its different than other Duncans. As shown by wayparker 4 its the slug thats on alone. For the screws, wire the 3 way normally. R/W to center of pot switch, out to ground. Its on when the 3 way selects it as on. N or N+B , but not B.

Awesome, thank you. Is that push/pull on the vol or tone pot?

You could use either one: the switch is separate from the Pot.

First of all, 250k pots will probably be OK, or you can use 500k's and wire a 200k resistor from the bridge PUP switch lug to ground. Use a low capacitance (~200-300pF) cable for better highs and you definitely won't have a problem with mud and 250k's. A standard 22nF tone cap should be fine.
Here's something that's worth a try. Rather than wire the P/P switch as a coil tap, use it with a 5-22nF cap to tap into the HB from between the coils to ground, while still letting the signal run through the other coil. What that does is retain the power from both coils in series, while it cuts the bass from one coil and the treble from the other. The bass is cut from the one with the cap in series and the treble is cut from the other coil. It should sound like a full single coil. The trick is to use the right cap value. I'd try a 10nf, then wrap around another 10nf in parallel for comparison. Pick the value you like better.
