Yes. Lyle is quirky but a fine entertainer. Plus, he always has great musicians working with him.

No. As one Highlander to another, save yourself the trouble. Send your tickets to me and I will dispose of them properly. But.......if you do decide to go, you won't be disappointed. HE is one of the most amazing singer/songwriters ever and the Collings guitar are worth the price of admission alone. GO

I've seen him live twice, and found it very worthwhile both times.

Kind of a weird dude and "country" ain't my favorite kind of music, but this guy knows how to make music.

I missed him when he was here a few years back, and he hasn't been back since. I will NOT miss him again.

He plays superbly live, one of the best performers. Go see him unless you are just not into his stuff.

The man performs like he means it, cool cool guy.

Come back and report and if he's not one of the best live acts you've ever seen I'll be astounded. I've seen him three times including meeting him at once and his show has never lasted less than 2-2 1/2 hours not including an encore or two.

If Lyle sat down to take a break his band alone is worth the price of admission. Truly a gifted writer and performer and a really down to earth guy. He's not your average "big time" star with an attitude to go with it. The guy loves to entertain. He's one of my all time favorite writers and performers.

If you got the time, money and inclination. He'll have a great band. I'm sure you'll enjoy an evening of great music. Live a little.

Lyle Lovettt and his huge Band at the Cains Ballroom was one of the most awesome shows I'd seen in a long time at that point. I had never paid attention to his muic before then.

Seeing him again on July 22nd in Indianapolis -- I think this will be my 15th or so Lyle concert. I was even at the one where he got married to Julia Roberts. She came out in her wedding dress and no shoes and introduced him by saying "Ladies & Gentlemen, my husband and his large band".

I saw him and when he started playing that Collins guitar before the band kicked it, I thought I was listening to a CD. I've never heard an acoustic guitar sound so good live. And I've done sound for a lot of people with good rigs and great guitars.

And the concert was great and he brought out Allison Krause for one or two song to sing harmonies. (Her brother's the bass player, so I guess she was hanging out)

I did not see him at that show (I saw him one at Clowes and once at Hilton U. Brown), but I saw Don Henley at Deer Creek that same week and he dedicated a song to the "newlyweds."

Hope he comes near me again sometime soon...
