I'm just thinking of redoing the wiring in my Esquire. Has anyone played with the value of the resistor in switch position 3? According to the Seymour Duncan standard Esquire Wiring, it should be a 3.3k. I have that in there right now, but when I redo it, I was thinking that maybe if I lowered the resistance, it may open the tone up a little. I have a 2.2k resistor laying around from an old pedal build. Any thoughts?

Here is a couple you might want to try. They are essentially the same except you have more options with the 2nd (you would have to replace the switch however). A lot of folks (myself included) feel this gives a more useful sound
