I don't know who that is, but it looks a little rough. It looks like the cavities were routed with a dull bit. It might be o.k., but I'd be concerned with neck, bridge & pickguard fitment. It's a gamble.

Low number of review, but 100% rating. The reviews on replacement tele bodies have great comments.

I'll let you know, I got it for 56 bucks :) Just finished my first and I can't let it go. I feel powerless. I subconsciously ordered "extra parts" off ebay the whole time I was doing my first.

That's ok, I didn't try very hard and there will be others.

I'd give it a miss mate. The cut doesn't look great at all. Far better examples all over eBay.

LOL, I'm sure it'll be well worth 56 bucks. If not, I'll tinker. It'll be fun.

Lol, I'm sure... nice one for using TDPRI to gazump a fellow member on an eBay purchase though, I always knew you could rely on this place to ask for people's advice.

3.2 Kg, YIKES

That body weighs over 7 pounds. That will yield ~ 10 lbs tele when finished.

That is why I didn't try any harder to win it. He now has 2 more bodies and they are the same weight. They are made of hard Northern Ash.

Ok, I apologized first off. Second, no one said they were going to buy it or even mention that they bid on it. Chill out. I didn't "snipe" or "gazump" anyone.
Had anyone said they were going for it, I would have yielded immediately. I put one bid in.

And the heavier the better, I don't care.

Wow, no need to get aggressive, take a chill pill. Okay we believe you, you didn't snipe anyone TeleTramp, -the irony-

Self Edit, okay I'm only pulling your leg haha.

Not aggressive at all. Hard to interpret tone through text over the internet if you don't know who's who. It's all good.

Looks home-made - positive feedback can probably be contrived.

It does, but again, it's 56 bucks. I think I can make it work. :)

So the body arrived today and I must say that it's much better looking than the picture. It is heavy as mentioned and not really any complaints. Holes and routes are in the right places. I put it under my Allparts body and a couple of the contours are slightly different (very slight) All in all, WELL worth the $56. And he's got finished ones on there for $65 now. I should have waited but I like the finish process anyway. I'll give it a solid B to B+ for quality.

No problem Glen. Again, you can tell it's not a "pro" body, but it's definitely doable. Especially for me, who can't afford $250 or more for a perfect CNC body. Cheers. I'm glad he's got more up in case you want to take another shot. I promise I won't unknowingly bid against you again. ;)

I might do a belly contour and pray it takes off you know, 4 or 5 pounds of wood.

The only way would be to plane off about 1/4" from the back, hollow it out, then glue on a 1/4" wood "skin".

Interesting, I was thinking about doing some type of hollowing. Hmmm, I could do a bigger route under the pickguard too. I don't have a planer though or any access to one. Too bad because that's probably the best course.

I like heavy guitars, it is an age old argument, but I think it improves the sound.

I think the same thing. This one is a beast. Lots of options for sure.

My planer isn't wide enough to handle a tele body but there are lots of threads on here about making a router sled so the router can be used for planing.

As others said, that horn is all kinds of wrong.

Somewhat Clintonian.
