My other half has just brought home a home made compilation tape. One of the songs on it is one that I really like but don't recognise. The chorus / hook goes -
"and I ain't too proud to beg when a woman like you comes along"
It's a country(ish) sort of song.
I've googled the lyric line but all it turns up is "Aint too proud to beg" by the Temptations. Not the same song.
Can anyone help please ?

That sounds like 'Ain't Too Proud' by The Sutherland Brothers & Quiver. It's on the 'Reach For The Sky' album (1975) and features Tim Renwick on guitar and Dave Gilmour on pedal steel. Tim was a member of SBQ at the time and went to school with Dave Gilmour and later guested on Pink Floyd tours. I think he's a wonderful player - one of my favourite.
