it was a real treat and surprise to see Jim open for Norah Jones last night in Toronto at Massey Hall. He said he was nervous but his sound and hands were true. He closed with a great version of Folsom Prison blues.
Norah (voice beautiful!!) and her band were very good but almost a bit new age with all the sonic landscape guitar sounds...I hoped maybe Jim might make a reappearance on a Little Willies number but...alas..didnt come to pass.

Great to see Jim here in TO. I made him shake my hand and got him to sign American Hips - which he inscribed with Tele Brother when he found out I played a Tele. I thought the crowd gave him a great response, and he was selling quite a few cds. So, that's a good sign for a return engagement here. (And a little birdie tells me he might just be back in the fall).

Cheers,
Geoff
