Just starting with woodworking (3rd cabinet so far), but I think it turned out right purrty.... :mrgreen: Speaker is a Eminence Cannabis Rex and the combination sounds glorious.

Very nice. I have a '68 Bandmaster Reverb top that I want to do what you did with...And I love the idea of using just paint. That looks so cool. I'll probably have a member of this forum do it for me, [muchxs], but I could paint it myself in any color I want. Thanks for the posting..

I actually did a blue tinted dye, it's kinda hard to see from the picture. I used Transtint mixed with half water/ half denatured alcohol and hand rubbed as a stain. I followed up with about 4 coats of Nitrocellulose lacquer. it probably needs a couple more coats to get really shiny. Cab is "select" solid pine with half-blind dovetails done on my porter-cable jig. Pine doesn't stain to evenly, but turned out ok on all but one side.
