I am having trouble with a song that has a series of chords here:
B7sus4 B+2 B/D# C#m A E+2/G# ;A+2/F#
As far as I can tell the ones in bold are augmented seconds but my handy google searching thus far has led me to a number of dead ends.
Ideally I would like to find these somewhere between the 3rd and 6th frets to fit the rest of the song.
Can anyone here recognise/explain these and/or can direct me to a chord site that will accept my '+2' searches?

I doubt they're 'augmented' chords.
Most likely add2 chords w/bass notes.
Not knowing the song I would play the bold chords thusly ...
Badd2: X24422
Eadd2/G#: 4X4400
Aadd2/F#: 2X2200 (this chord is also commonly called an F#m11)
*nice progression

Those +2s should be called add2 The + usually means that you raise the fifth, but in this case I'm am pretty sure they want you to add the 2nd (9th) to the triad.
B7sus4 = B E F# A
Badd2 = B C# D# F#
B/D# means B major, put the D# in the bass
Eadd2/G# = G# E F# B
Aadd2/F# = A B C# E with F# in the bass. Sounds like it would over a passing tone to me, or it might sound like an F#m7sus4 or F#m11.

See what happens when you take too long to type stuff - you get beat to the punch!

I just typed less than you. We both usually say the same thing.
To the OP - is this a tune of yours or what? I like the progression. Curious as to whom the band/artist is.

Thank you for this - it just goes to show that TDPRI [real people] is better than Google for the important stuff. Thanks also to jbmando, although I hear your disappointment in not being first.
The progression is from a section of the chorus to a song called The Great Southland by Geoff Bullock, formerly with Hillsong I think.
This is the opening song for our triennial national conference for the Uniting Church in Australia in a couple of weeks.
They are publishing a few of my own pieces this time around so I get to help out with the orchestra and band. I am trying to get my website up by the end of this month, although none of my progressions are as interesting as this one..
