I'm using the seymour duncan diagram as seen here: http://cdn.seymourduncan.com/pdfs/support/schematics/2h_2v_2t_3w.pdf
my issue is that I seem to be getting noise from the neck pickup in all positions. It also seems to be that only one coil is 'hot' while the switch is in the bridge and middle positions, then when I switch to the neck pickup, both coils in the humbucker are 'hot'. I could be completely wrong but there is a massive volume spike when just the neck pickup is on.
admittly, I am new to working with humbuckers but not new to wiring. I have checked and rechecked the diagram and I'm confident it is wired correctly. Is it something in the red/white, bare/green, or black wires that is wrong. I'm using a duncan designed pickup and doing what they suggest, but I'm wondering if I should be doing something else?
