cool licks! i kinda been doing the kentucky jelly like one from doodlin around..suprised im hitting the same notes as in the tab pretty much...i usually have a horrible ear!

could you look at this thread i have posted? trying to nail this little lick from Departure.

If you are playing in any natural key, you can pull off to open strings and sound fairly "in-tune"...just make sure you end the riff with the root note.

The only thing to be wary of is the open b string in the key of F, and the open g string in the key of B. Those sound really wacky.
