really bad hum!

So, I know that when you play through a Compression Sustainer and a Tube Drive pedal, you're bound to get a little bit of noise, but after I took my guitar to a tech to get rewired after a disastrous Potentiometer incident during a performance, I've been getting a really unbearable hiss/hum, that dies down after I touch either the control plate or the bridge/strings. Any idea what this is?

This my Tele Wiring skill: I can tell you where a certain wire goes, but I can't tell you why. So I have no idea what the problem could be, and it's kinda scaring me because this is my #1! I hope you guys can help!

EDIT: And also, through headphones, I can hear a Wah effect of some sort when I do touch the control Plate or bridge.

Sounds like a) the tech wired something backward or forgot to ground something, and b) this is the perfect opportunity for you to teach yourself some basic electric and soldering skills.

It's obvious that you can do better than the tech if you just put some effort into it. And it will give you the ability to wire your own guitars for the rest of your life. That is no small bonus.

i cant even picture your guitar in my mind.
sketch a wiring diagram of it exactly as it is and accompany it with a pic of your control cav.

There is a document in this thread with about 130 wiring diagrams for just about every telecaster ever made. It might be of some help debugging your wiring.

The document is in german - but the diagrams are self explanatory.

don't have access to a good camera, but I'll try to come up with a diagram on Paint or something.
