Hey everybody. I'm in the Kansas City area. I've been a lurker/member for years and decided it was time to participate and introduce myself. I'm thinking about building a tele as a winter project this year so I've been studying up here a lot lately, in preparation.
I listen to and play a variety of music: alt country, roots rock, psychedelic rock. The gigging days of college are behind me, but I get out and do the garage band thing pretty regularly, in addition to a lot of jamming at home. I sometimes miss playing out, then I remember carrying my amp up/down rickety stairs, watching my gear like a hawk so it didn't get stolen/smashed/a beer bath/danced on, getting stiffed when it came time to get paid, band infighting...etc...then it passes :grin:
Lately, I mainly play this (Wildwood Thinskin '52 Tele RI):

into a Fender Blackface Vibrolux clone a good friend built for me, or when I'm jamming at home I use a Fender Super Champ XD. I also have a Strat and a Hollowbody PRS that fight for playing time.
I love the do it yourself spirit and relaxed vibe on this forum. I've learned quite a bit. So thanks for that and hi everybody! :mrgreen:
