I have a weller SL345 iron with a PL133 Flat Tip
1. Is that flat head Tip useful for something like guitar cables or pot soldering? Or should I throw it?
2. What Weller tip would be all around good for PC boards to Cables to Guitar work?
3. Are all weller tips interchangeable for any Weller iron?

I have a weller SL345 iron with a PL133 Flat Tip
1. Is that flat head Tip useful for something like guitar cables or pot soldering? Or should I throw it? larger screwdriver or chisel style tips are very helpful on guitar parts, pot shells, switch lugs, etc.
2. What Weller tip would be all around good for PC boards to Cables to Guitar work? I use a large chisel tip for cables and guitars, but PC boards require a much tinier screwdriver tip, that's why its so helpful to be able to drop out the tips
3. Are all weller tips interchangeable for any Weller iron? not necessarily

I use the ST8 1/16 narrow screwdriver chisel tip for guitar and amp building. The only time i need anything else is a trem claw.

My Iron is a Weller WP35, I think. It might be a WP25, can't remember.

Weller tips are not interchangeable between all models
If it is a temperature controlled tip you also need to have 700F (tin/lead) and 800F (lead-free) tips. Like so - http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/19757.pdf (for TCP range note)
Amazon do not carry the full range, Farnell do but have a minimum order charge. It is worthwhile getting a range of soldering tips.
If you need to solder a trem claw or the back of a tele bridge plate, it is best to use a gas torch.
