I just finished watching the Guitar Center Sessions episode that featured Seether. I wasn't really too familiar with the band before, but I enjoyed their music - obviously heavily influenced by Nirvana and Pearl Jam. What I really liked was the sound that Shaun Morgan was getting out of his guitar. I know very little about Schecter's (other than they seem to be marketed to shredders), but really thought his signature model sounded awesome (not positive what he uses for amps/pedals but I think he uses a Mesa Boogie). I'm certainly not a metal player so Schecters haven't been on my radar before but my interest is piqued. Does anyone own this guitar and care to provide their input on it? Being into Teles, the PT models look interesting too.

Anyone have an opinion on the PT? The price/features ratio looks good, but none of my local shops stock these so I can't try one for myself.

I have a PT. I bought it used. It had Duncan pups in it when I got it. I love it. Its a great guitar. In fact I hauled it out and played it last nite. Its one of those rare breeds that can prettty much hang in any setting with any kind of music.

... which is definitely NOT a shredder guitar, with it's Tele-style look and Bigsby. This is my second Schecter (I had a regular Solo 6) and the quality-to-price ratio is outstanding. Fit and finish on par with PRS SEs (of which I have owned three) and much less expensive.
I have my eye on a Solo Special ...
