Went guitar shopping today and ran into this. It is a brand new Custom Shop Martin 000. It's all mahogany, 12 fret, with binding. I know all mahoganies are usually 15 series but it is not on the invoice or tags. Just CS 000 mhg. I can find no info on it anywhere. It is not a slot head. Sounds amazing buy I'd like to know more about it. They had just brought it in the door and had not brought over the spec sheet.

Wow! That's one beautiful guitar! Congrats!
I've played a few 000 and 00 12 fret Martins, and they sound amazing. Really comfortable to play too!
The Martin customer service folks have really been helpful when I've asked for the info. If you call or email them with the serial number from the neck block, they will send you a spec sheet that gives detailed info about the date of manufacture, woods, bracing patterns, saddle/nut material, rosette styling, whether the guitar was a special order, etc. Pretty much everything that you'd want to know. Here's the contact info from the martinguitar.com site:

I'm no expert on Martins, but I once owned a slothead 15-series guitar, just like that, but without binding. I think the binding is the custom part. That's a beauty, and I'll bet it sounds and plays great.
