This is a very quick post (I'm almost late for a dinner commitment). I know nothing about this guitar, except that it plays and sounds fantastic. I was at Austin Vintage Guitars today and stumbled upon this baby. It was in the back room where the cheap/broken stuff is kept.

I liked the look of it, so I picked it up and strummed a few chords. Sounded fantastic. Played for another 30 minutes and loved it even more. $70???? No brainer.

It is a Franciscan CS-19. I haven't had time to research it yet. Looks like a mahogany top (probably nato). Like I said, plays and sounds great. I'll have to research more tomorrow, unless somebody here knows anything about it?

Here is a picture. The pickguard is now removed.

Guitars are like puppies. You don't pick them, they pick you. Looks like you got a helluva deal on an axe that will keep you happy for a long time. Enjoy!

Oh yeah--cut the ends of the strings off!

The picture is a bit grainy, but I've seen cedar tops that look a lot like that.
