Found an Alvarez classical model 5003 at the Goodwill yesterday, needs some work, but $22.00 out the door.

Put on a new nut last night and cleaned it up, probably string it up tonight. It looked like it hadn't been in a case in a long time, not even my couch guitars are that dirty.

Not planning on doing any classical stuff, but thought having that sound to record with might be interesting.

Great score. For $22 you just can't beat it. It's nice to have a nylong string for a change. I don't play classical style either, but love my little La Patrie Motif. It's the one I have on a stand and grab when the moment strikes. Good stuff...congrats!

Just for giggles, I did an image search--turns out the 5003 they have at classicalacousticguitars.com is one number before mine. Talk about coincidence.

I've seen Clapton play some great blues on a classical. For $22 you can play anything you want and not lose.

Enjoy!
