Natural Ash? Judging by the neck wear and lack thereof on the body, I would guess the body had been stripped and refinished. Impossible to tell what type of finish by this picture.

It looks like a vintage Fender neck on a replacement body with a clear semi-satin finish.

+1. Looks like it's just an amber clear over a very pale or bleached alder.
