pedal power from a boss TU-2?s

I use a BBE supa charger to power 8 effects including a TU-2. I was wondering if I got the boss daisey chain would I be able power even more pedals using the power from the TU-2 hooked up to my supa charger pedal power?

Anything concers for damgae to units or noise issues? Is anybody doing this? Am I crazy?

The TU-2 doesn't actually provide power it just continues a chain. You can run a daisy chain out of it as long as your power supply provides enough power. I run my One Spot into the boss NS-2 and then daisy chain through pedals. Once I get to my TU-2 I just continue the daisy chain to my last pedal.

thanks for the reply. so...if I have a 9 volt supply from the supa charge to the TU-2 I could power additional pedals without damage, noise, or tone/output loss?

I don't know how many pedals the BBE supply can power. As long as you don't go over that you should be fine.

yeah thats what i want to know. The BBE charger powers eight and I want to power two or three more via the Boss TU-2 which is also powered by the BBE charger. So I can have 8 on the board with no daisey chain from the TU-2 but if I use the power from the TU-2 can I now power ten on the board?

You are thinking of the TU-2 as another power supply. It is not a power supply it merely has in/out inputs that you can use to continue daisy chains. If your power supply can only power 8 pedals then the TU-2 wont add more power. Sell your supply and spend $35 on a One Spot Combo Pack and get an extra daisy chain.

It's not about the number of outputs on the power supply, it's about how much current they put out.

The SC has Six 9VDC 100mA and Two 9VDC 200mA outputs. Most OD pedals only draw a few mA, others might be 10-20 mA. So you could run a daisy chain off of the TU into a couple lower draw pedals. Look at the specs of your pedals to see how much current they draw. (Or look here: http://stinkfoot.se/power-list)

I run five pedals off of a regular Boss 200mA power supply w/daisy chain; even if they were all on at the same time, I'd have current to spare.

I daisy chain my TU2 to my OD3 to my OCD to my TR2 to my RE20 to my Carbon Copy. Works just great!
