Hi, just registered today after lurking for awhile. I really enjoy this forum and have learned alot. I recently finished a Saga TC-10 build and am learning about set-up. It came out ok but the frets need work and I need to learn more about setting intonation but I know if I keep tinkering with it I'll get it.

In the meantime I played the Aqua Flake '72 Telecaster at the Guitar store yesterday and all I can say is WOW!!!!! I was actually there to get another acoustic guitar but when I saw the aqua flake well, it had me at hello. I'm a Miami Dolphin fan and I thought wow, if I could get an orange pickguard I'm set for football season.... or I could get the orange flake with a aqua pickguard....or both....

The only thing that kept me from buying it was I really want to get a traditional Tele with the single coil pickups. This one had the humbuckers and the 4 knobs like a Les Paul and while it was a very nice guitar I reluctantly left the store without it. Lucky for me the store is not nearby or I think I would go back today to get it.

Ok, well glad to be here and I'm looking forward to learning more about this great guitar.

Hello and welcome! As you already know, the forum is a great (and friendly) source of information.

It came out ok but the frets need work and I need to learn more about setting intonation but I know if I keep tinkering with it I'll get it.

I just recently managed my first fret level and crown thanks entirely to the collective expertise shared on the TDPRI - keep tinkering and you'll be a set-up expert before you know it

Awwww... buy the '72, you can always buy the single coil guitar later. When you find a guitar that speaks to you like that it's a shame to leave it hanging in some cold, lonely shop where any clod like me could pick it up and get it all sweaty and gross.

Welcome, now go buy the guitar.
