Purple Heart Neck Build questions!

Hi Guys,

Just starting a purple heart tele neck build. One piece neck with a Birdseye maple skunk stripe down the back :) Just wondering if its neccesary to spray the fingerboard like you do a one piece maple neck? or leave it bare and spray the back, as in rosewood?? Im putting some white pearloid binding down both sides of the neck. Going to look pretty good!!! Just have to start thinking of some nice contrasting timbers to make the body. any tips?

My understanding on purpleheart is if you want the purple color to stay you'll have to spray it. Otherwise it turns brown over time.
