Nothing like a new Tele, I'm learning.

I started playing guitar 4 months ago with an Ibanez RG321MH and, at the time, I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. As soon as I brought it home though, I realized how much of an edgy sound it had, how distorted it sounded even on the clean setting of my amp. I saved up 360 bucks, ran to Guitar Center, and quickly traded in that Ibanez electric and a DOD FX 80B compressor-sustainer pedal for a grand total of 120 dollars. This gave me, in all, 480 dollars to spend. So I bought myself a Squier Affinity Telecaster for 280 dollars, dropped another 30 a new pick guard and 120 on some new Vintage Reissue Telecaster pickups. Also, I decided I'd try DR Pure Blues strings. I love the sound of this guitar, she's got a very versatile, workingman's sound, that was the first thing I noticed. She's gorgeous, as well, and oh trust me, pictures will follow. She'll sing if you want her to, and if you want her to scream, hell, she'll do that too. Her neck plays very well and has big enough frets that I can still do my penatonics up high. I don't know much about guitars, but I do know that for 280 dollars, this Squier Tele blows other budget guitars I've tried out of the water. And for all you Deadheads, I named her Bonnie Lee, after the faithful girl in Wharf Rat. I hope everyone has a great day, I know I will in my first day in the world of Telecasters.
