K-27 . .totally amazing . . .

The humidity has been pretty silly the last few days in Virginia, and I had been wanting to try one of Colt Knights tricks for getting the finish to lay down better in hot, humid weather.

I mix my colors with StewMac Pigments, and Sherwin Williams Nitro Cellulose Clear Lacquer. Today I added a 3 to 1 mix with paint and the K-27 Thinner and retarder, and I was AMAZED at how awesome the color laid down on the new body and head stock.

where do you guys normally buy this? Can I get from a regular Sherwin Williams store or do I need to go by one of their commercial stores?

I know some of the SW stores don't carry it , mine does , call them and ask , if they don't carry it they should be able to check computer inventory of an SW store that does carry it.

Thanks for the info! I've got a commercial store near my work, and a standard store near my home. Neither are great to deal with on the phone. Just trying to simply my running around this weekend.

I'm about ready to start shooting clear on a project and the heat has become insane this week. It hit 107 yesterday. Definitely gonna have to wake up early to spray and I've read great things about the K27.

We have 8 different SW stores around me, and only "1" carries or can order it. They are not the commercial store guys ( those guys are sooooo much less than pleasant to deal with ) It's a Sherwin Williams Design store for professional painters - the Manager is AWESOME, but it took my months to find the guy that thought guitars were cool, and now he orders or stocks anything I need.
