Need help! Vintage vs. Modern

What its the difference between vintage wiring with crs pots and cloth-insulated wire and modern wiring with alpha pots and pvc wiring. Anything?

Short answer: Basically no difference.
Long: CTS pots are slightly stiffer, and the taper might change slightly. Cloth wire looks cool, and can be easier to work with.
