Can anyone point me to some good B-bender licks using dropped low D tuning? I have a Hipshot unit that I want to get some practice on. Thanks!

I would check out Brent Mason on Alan Jackson's "Mercury Blues." It's in drop D and the solo has some b bender in it. There's a tab for it in the Alan Jackson section at Countrytabs.com

Marty Stuart does the Billy Joe Shaver tune "If I Give My Soul"...in double drop D (DADGBD low to high)..."Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall off"...I dont recall who did it... has got some stringbendery sounding licks in a dropped D tuning....Buckaroo also works well in drop D..and you can work in some bender licks into it...

+1 on the Mercury Blues,
ronmkd- I just emailed you a pdf of all the guitar solos in that song. Have fun!

"Merc Blues" was a favorite of mine. Got to play in drop D, then flip the two other toggles and go into Low G tuning for a Dobro-style solo, and later, the bottleneck solo. Love my Hipshot with double benders and 3 toggles!

Also, "Burn Me Down" by Marty Stuart. He has another drop D w/ bender tune but I forget the name.
