Is there a finish i can use on my guitar that will wear through quickly ,as in relicing.
I would like a more natural looking antique.

My friend had a guitar built 2 years ago and finished for this very purpose the fretboard is starting to wear and it looks ace.

Trouble is it was made in the states and i live in the uk.

That'll probably be nitro then. Easily obtained in the UK.

eg:

http://shop.rothkoandfrost.co.uk/nitrocellulose-lacquer-information-s/1900.htm

or

http://www.manchesterguitartech.co.uk/shop/category/nitrocellulose-lacquer/

both of whom are forum members here, and both are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
