Whammy Help

I just got a whammy! I've wanted one for years, and I finally bought one...only trouble is, I can't really figure out a good way to use it. Any suggestions? I love Jack White's tone on his solo's, and I know that he uses a whammy a lot on those, does anyone know how he uses it, like settings and general style?

usually hits the micro amp and whammy for the solos

plus there are parts where the POG comes in with whammy

Which setting does he usually use for solo's? Is it 1 or2 octaves up?

New Whammy V (5th gen)? Ton of uses! Got my hands on one a week or so ago and loving it. Honestly, while it does the octave bend thing fantastically well (like all Whammy pedals) I'm finding the new "Chords" mode to be addicting. Just put up this video last night, should give you a few ideas of how to use it. First 2 clips demo baritone emulation, then bass, and then a little mini tune constructed of different Whammy settings (with a little noisy glitch fest at the very end).
