Turn gain off, max output, tone at 12 o'clock, and adjust 100Hz to give just a small bass boost. This really fattens a single coil and stays clean until you dig in.

Chiogtr4x June 25th, 2012, 02:06 PM If you have the Output at max (and assuming moderate amp volume) that would imply to me (maybe I'm wrong as the pedal Gain is OFF) a huge volume jump between pedal ON and pedal OFF -is this true or not? Just curious! And a follow up, how are guitar volume dynamics when the pedal is used this way? Do you lose high-end when turning down the guitar volume? thanks! asatbender June 25th, 2012, 03:16 PM I try it again tonight and see where I have to set the output for unity gain. I'll turn down the volume on the guitar tonight and see if I loose any high-end. I like the tone so much I never turned it down. It's just a semi-clean boost I just thought it sounded good for fattening up the tone a little. Thanks! if you like it, you like it, that's what matters! I was just curious about it's operation- I don't play very distorted music (w/a lot of Gain) but I do like to rock out (regardless of music form) and seem to migrate to dynamic OD's, as they usually end up staying ON most of the time- kind of the opposite of "step ON for solos..." asatbender June 26th, 2012, 07:50 AM Tried it again last night and unity gain is about 12 o'clock on the output. It's a great pedal for blues/country/lite rock. I also love the '78 Distortion (red one) and it's killer for classic rock/hard rock. Both stack great together. I can't wait to see what is next in the lineup. I like the Mod'd OD at a light gain setting the best. |
