Sudden GAS for TC Nova Delay

Don't realy know why, but I suddenly feel I need one. As posted in my other thread, I'm looking for a boost pedal right now but I was thinking of upgrading my delay too.

I currently use a Boss DD-3 for slapback and an MXR Carbon Copy for long delay. I feel like I'm missing out because I don't have the presets, tap tempo, or modulated delay. I'm realy considering selling the DD-3 and getting a Nova Delay. I'll keep the CC just because I love that thing so much.

Either someone needs to stop me, or you can tell me everything you love about the Nova Delay and why I should get it.

Here's the big question- Do I realy need the Nova Delay, or is it just another horrible case of GAS ?

The nova would be a huge upgrade to your current delay setup imo. It is a pretty sweet machine.

Just watched the PGS demo of the Nova. I think I'm gonna go for it. I guess I'll sell the DD-3 and save up a little cash to get the Nova.

BTW, I'm the one that posted this thread. I didn't realize it when I posted this, but I was logged into my dad's account when I posted the thread.

Have the Nova Delay both the "standard" ND-1 and Ib modified versions. They are both great delays. The Ib is a little warmer and open but the standard is really great too. Honestly, last one you will ever need. Pretty much a standard in the P&W route I am in.

I used a pair of DD-3s for 25 years, but recently replaced them both with a Nova Delay for the bells & whistles (reverse delay is fun every once in a while), the tap tempo, and the presets. I doubt I'll ever go back.

I'm in a P&W band aswell. You're right, it is pretty much a standard. I've been using delay more and more lately, and having all the options of the ND-1 would be benificial.

Yes I play in a "mega" church P&W (2-5,000) and all the guitarists in rotation use the ND-1 or Ib versions (Or a Nova System). Delay is a big part of P&W music and often changes midstream within a song (.8ths -1/4 etc). The ability to "step through" 9 presets in order can allow you to either prgrma them in sequence or as some guys doe is they set up say .8th long, .8 short , 1/4 short, 1/4 long, etc and they tap in global temmp for all presest at the intro along with the click. VERY usable delay although I never use the dynamic mode. Dont try to run at 9v. Current hog and with stage voltage dips when the lights come up, it can go to lunch.

That's a big church ! I play in a fairly small church, but I've also played in some bigger ones. I've never played in a church that size though.
